Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Aide II- Emergency Department - Full Time - days - Mon- Fri , 7am- 7 pm , alt weekends
In this role, the successful candidate Under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse assists the nursing and medical staff by performing identified service and established procedures to provide for the care comfort and safety of patients Maintains patient care areas in a clean and orderly condition; prepares equipment and supplies according to established procedure and transports patients as needed Participates in the orientation process of new employees

To qualify you must have a High School diploma or GED BLS certification AHA only and first aid training De escalation training on job EMT certificate or prior hospital/sub acute experience or be a nursing student Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with patients and their families that demonstrate recognition of cultural diversity Basic analytical skills in order to gather data complete comparisons interpret and report outcomes to the nurse or document on the medical record Must have excellent customer service and telephone skills Ability to manage and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. In addition to the educational component, the applicant must have the following:
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• High energy, positive attitude and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• Must have current Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid certification.
• VA online Preservice Training (13 hours)
• TB screening (no sooner than 30 days before start date)
• Must clear full background check, fingerprinting and must pass urine drug screening
• Annually receive 16 hours in-service training and attend staff meetings.
• Requirements also include the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, have physical dexterity, have the ability to reach arms above head, and be able to kneel, bend, squat and crawl.
