    Job Description

    ** Job Summary**

    The position is responsible for overseeing the inventory management of maintenance, repair, and operational (MRO) items. This includes monitoring stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate records. The role involves implementing efficient inventory control practices to support operational needs and minimize downtime, while also evaluating the quality and availability of MRO items to ensure they meet company standards. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with various departments to forecast inventory needs and assist in budgeting for MRO purchases.

    ** Principal Responsibilities**

    • Responsible for receiving, storing & issuing MRO related items weighing up to 25lbs.
    • Utilize both SAP & our CMMS for purchase orders & inventory control.
    • Provide support to our accounts payable team on invoice discrepancies.
    • Performing periodic cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
    • Analyze reorder points & quantities to adjust based on usage & current lead times
    • Maintain good housekeeping & 5S in our MRO stockroom.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements in all procurement activities
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

    JOB PREREQUISITES:

    • Ability to meet attendance standards. All full-time employees are required to work a 40-hour week. At times it may be necessary to work additional hours in order to get the required tasks accomplished to meet deadlines.
    • When discussing with others, this position must display tact, diplomacy, and respect. He or she must listen to, acknowledge, and respond to issues in a timely fashion.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office software products.

    • Position may require travel.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a college degree is a plus.

    • Previous experience in a storeroom or warehouse environment.

    • Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures.

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.

    • Proficient computer skills and experience with inventory management software.

    • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry heavy items.

    • Experienced in Microsoft Office Software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
