Job Title: Tool and Die Maker

Position Overview: The Tool and Die Maker will be responsible for building, repairing, and rebuilding various production and service dies. This role also involves manufacturing machine parts to reduce the cost of machine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints to plan setups and operate various machine shop equipment.
- Perform inspections using precision measuring and gauging tools before starting jobs.
- Conduct repair, rebuilding, or overhaul work on manufacturing or service dies and tooling.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians, fabricators, and engineers on projects.
- Manufacture replacement parts when commercial parts are unavailable.
- Operate a variety of machine shop tools, ensuring production parts meet company specifications.
- Order necessary parts and materials in a timely manner.
- Provide support to production teams with tooling-related issues.
- Recommend improvements to tooling based on production feedback.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of tool room experience, with aerospace experience preferred.
- Completion of a qualified apprenticeship program (Journeyman Toolmaker).
- Familiarity with EDM, CNC Lathes/HMC/VMC, and manual machines (e.g., manual lathes, Bridgeports).
- Ability to interpret blueprints and customer drawings.
- Knowledge of CAD is a plus.
- Must have a complete set of personal tools.
