  • Responsibilities

    Role Overview:

    Diagnose and resolve issues with production machinery and equipment, including performing adjustments, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • Journeyman Tool & Die Certificate preferred.
    • At least five years of experience in tool and die-making, including repairing and modifying stamping dies.
    • Familiarity with various dies such as transfer dies, progressive dies, deep draw dies, as well as welding and quality check fixtures.
    • Proficient in operating equipment including lathes, grinders, drill presses, Bridgeports, and other die room machinery.
    • Ability to demonstrate expertise in tool and die work through a practical interview and proficiency assessment.
    • Crane operation certification.
    • Forklift operation license.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Address press and die issues promptly to ensure production remains uninterrupted.
    • Verify die performance by installing and inspecting dies, adjusting as needed, and ensuring finished products meet design specifications.
    • Interpret and apply blueprints to create or refine tools and dies for both internal and external client needs.
    • Conduct regular preventive maintenance for tools and dies to sustain production quality and efficiency.
    • Operate manual tool room equipment, with CNC machine experience as an added advantage.
    • Measure components accurately, adhering to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA standards and company safety procedures.
    • Utilize overhead cranes to handle tooling and materials safely.
    • Foster a collaborative work environment by keeping supervisors and colleagues informed about project progress and any challenges encountered
