JOB TITLE: Healthcare Call Center Agent
LOCATION: Portland, OR (have to live within a 2-hour radius of Portland, OR)
SCHEDULE: M-F 8 am-4 pm
PAY: $18-21/hour
REQUIRED:
- High-speed internet
- ability to connect OHSU provided phone directly to the router
- Private space while working to ensure confidentiality.
- 2 years call center experience.
- 2 years of healthcare experience
THE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION IS TO
- Collect and record accurate and complete required demographic, insurance, and financial information for patients receiving COVID related services,
- Scheduling, rescheduling of COVID testing and vaccination appointments
- Provide information about phasing of groups, access, and event location and criteria
- This includes financial screening services, checking insurance eligibility, and confirming health insurance coverage.
- This position will work from home but has to be local enough to pick up equipment. To work from home, staff will need to have: high-speed internet, the ability to connect OHSU provided phone directly to the router, and private space while working to ensure confidentiality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer Service. Provide high-quality customer service to all internal and external customers.
- This includes communicating accurately, openly, supportively, in a timely manner, and extending special attention and sensitivity to all patients, visitors, and fellow employees.
- Assist in maintaining an atmosphere of cooperation within the department, as well as with other departments and allied professionals.
- Demonstrate respect and cooperation in all staff relationships, and a genuine willingness to prevent or resolve interpersonal conflicts.
- Must demonstrate superior face to face customer contact skills, remain calm and resourceful during crisis management or other difficult situations, and manage standard complaint processing.
- Required to learn and maintain skill with available information technology, and remain current with changes to departmental procedures and new information.
- Provide flexible coverage of internal service needs, including work location and reporting time.
