HERBERT, ROWLAND & GRUBIC, INC. (HRG) is an employee-owned, nationally ranked design firm providing civil engineering, surveying, and environmental services to the private and public sectors.

We are actively seeking a LAND DEVELOPMENT CADD TECHNICIAN I to join our Land Development group in King of Prussia, PA.  As a LAND DEVELOPMENT CADD TECHNICIAN I at HRG, you are responsible for Computer Aided Drafting & Design related to civil engineering design projects in our Land Development Group including but not limited to:

• Utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, drafts both simple and complicated drawings, full plan sets, profiles, cross sections, and details
• Organizes and maintains drawing and documentation database for each project, sets up sheet size, scale, plan set, and contents
• Works closely with other CADD Technicians to maintain CADD standards, drawing libraries, documentation, and finished product quality

Required Skills Required Experience

• Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design
• 6-months to 2 years of prior experience with civil/municipal engineering projects in land development design, preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
• Intermediate skills in computers, geometry, trigonometry, and drafting
• Working knowledge of drafting software and CADD concepts

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Site grading and cut/fill balancing
• Working knowledge of Civil 3D
• Basic Oil and Gas Industry knowledge

COMPUTER SKILLS

Basic computer skills including word-processing and the ability to use spreadsheets are preferred for this position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY                  

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
