Responsibilities:
- Reconciliation: Monthly reconciliation of Risk/Trading system profit and loss to the general ledger.
- Analysis: Ensuring accuracy of gross margin and preparing related journal entries.
- Cost Allocation: Preparing and allocating cost of cash usage by department/portfolio.
- Reconciliation: Analyzing and preparing reconciliation of trade accruals, inventory, and other accounts.
- Reporting: Understanding and reporting profit and loss, mark to market attributes, and movements.
- Compliance: Monitoring and ensuring compliance with control policies and procedures.
- Financial Statements: Assisting in the preparation of Consolidated Financial statements and reporting under IFRS.
- Audit Support: Assisting in annual external audits and responding to inquiries from management, traders, and external auditors.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience, preferably in commodities, hedge funds, or commodity brokerage firms.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and modern multi-currency accounting software.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and analyze problems and provide timely solutions.
- Availability: Ability to work on-site 5 days a week.
