    Position summary: Responsible for various traffic engineering related tasks and projects to enhance their experience in the field utilizing their education.

    The hourly rate associate with this position is $20.00 - $25.00 based on education level.

    Essential functions and responsibilities

    • Develop engineering drawings and projects
    • Willingness to learn traffic operations and design
    • Coordinate new small-scale projects
    • Assemble data and research
    • Provide input on solutions to problems using basic theories and engineering fundamentals
    • Assist with layout and design of routine small and medium-sized engineering projects
    • Maintain accurate and current project documentation

    Nonessential functions and responsibilities

    • Perform other related duties as assigned

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    • Full time student in civil engineering

    Preferred Experience

    • Coursework in related field
    • Previous internship experience

    Working Conditions

    Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.

    What you need to succeed:

    • Drive to provide best-in-class service to our partners and customers
    • Ability to communicate effectively through electronic devices (ie. iPhone)
    • Possess a valid State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
    • Ability to learn in-house operational systems
    • Experience using hand and power tools
    • Mechanical and situational problem solving abilities
    • Ability to utilize basic electronic devices
    • Organizational skills
    • High School diploma/GED required
