Job Summary
The Training Instructor trains MITs and Training Managers in Golden Corral best practices using instructor-led in-person and virtual training sessions. Uses engaging training sessions that adapt to various learning styles and needs. Leads MITs and Training Managers in successfully implementing training programs while in restaurants. Assists in creating and implementing the training curriculum and materials, performs assessments to ensure participants absorb the information presented, and tracks progress.
Duties/Responsibilities
Train and follow up/support of training, which includes teaching TTT classes, follow-up on MITs, and reports for stores on co-worker training
Support Franchise Business Consultants (FBCs), and Food and Beverage with needs such as group training, recipe development and videos, and site prep for new culinary tests
Develop and update new and current training content
Create operation audits and administration of Meazureup platform. Participate in creating and facilitating step-down webinars
Assist with new store openings
Required Skills/Abilities
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong operations background with restaurant management experience
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Education and Experience
Four years or more of restaurant operations experience in a high-volume restaurant or equivalent required
Restaurant training experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Communication preferred
Experience collaborating with franchisees preferred
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Occasionally, moderate lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds, pushing, pulling, bending, or reaching may be required
Periods of walking and standing
Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, grasping, speaking, hearing, frequent repetitive movements with the wrists, hands or fingers and picking, pinching or typing with the fingers
Close visual acuity
The work environment includes heavy guest contact, working with cooking equipment, and slippery walking surfaces
Up to 50% travel required
