At Layne's Chicken Fingers we take everything seriously except ourselves.
Established in 1994, Layne's is THE "born and breaded in Texas" chicken finger restaurant. The Layne's culture stems from our roots in College Station, where back in 1994, we perfected our chicken finger frying technique. True to our roots, we are a fun, fast paced dynamic team who do not take ourselves seriously, but we take our food and our service EXTREMELY seriously.
THE ROLE:
This is a hybrid role as a Shift Manager and a New Restaurant Trainer.
Shift Managers have the primary responsibility of managing shifts and ensuring our team is conveying the Layne's culture to our guests as well as being a creative team player who likes to work hard and have fun. He/she will be responsible for upholding the Layne's standards for our guests' experience.
NRO Trainers have the pleasure of traveling across America to assist with New Restaurant Openings as well as Train our future partners! A restaurant trainer plays a crucial role in ensuring that staff are well-prepared to deliver excellent service and maintain high operational standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to effectively lead, train, and direct others
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Oversee all aspects of a shift, ensuring the accurate and timely production of product, service times and staffing
Respond to customer concerns in a professional manner
Follow cash, security, inventory and labor policies and procedures
Provide coaching and guidance to employees
Ability to train through demonstration and provide constructive feedback
Serve as a corporate liaison in the field; build and maintain professional relationships
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 2-3 years of experience managing a fast-casual concept
Work in local restaurants when not traveling for openings
Must be able and willing to work at any DFW location
Ability to work cross-functionally on projects withing all levels
Be at least 21 years of age to travel (18 years of age for local openings)
Willingness to travel (trainers could spend 2-3 weeks at a new opening)
Must have access to major airports and ability to travel when needed
Flexibility and able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Previous experience in a training role preferred
Have a High School diploma or equivalent required
Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule
Have the ability to lift and carry 10-55 lbs.
Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods
Food Safety Certifications
Performs other duties as assigned by direct manager
