    Job Description

    As a Training and Development Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive learning interventions that align with our organizational goals. You will collaborate with various departments to identify training needs, develop engaging content, and facilitate effective learning experiences for employees at all levels. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of training principles, and manufacturing experience.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Utilize a multimedia approach to learning in appropriate combinations of on-line learning, classroom instruction, demonstrations, job aids, and on-the-job training to produce the most efficient and effective learning experience
    • Conduct new employee orientation, on-the-job/classroom training, and certification. Follow up on a regular, planned schedule to answer questions and verify proficiency
    • Assist in developing general training instructions, checklists and visual aids
    • Grow and support the local apprentice program to bring in new talent
    • Manage all training materials and files including document control and training records in accordance with set standards
    • Work with on-the-job instructors to ensure a robust and effective learning experience for new hires
    • Support workers who have questions or need additional assistance in understanding their job responsibilities
    • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • A four-year college degree in Communications, Human Resources, or related. In lieu of a degree appropriate job experience will be considered.
    • 2 - 4 years of experience in a related profession
    • Speak and write English fluently; Spanish preferred but not required.

    ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

    • Demonstrate exceptional people management skills
    • Ability to perform detail-oriented work accurately, work on multiple assignments simultaneously, maintain confidential information, and meet deadlines
    • Ability to work in a team environment at all levels within the organization
    • Manufacturing plant experience is a must have
    • Microsoft office proficiency preferred (Teams, Word, Powerpoint, etc)
