We are currently adding an Interventional Psychiatry Resource Manager to our growing team!
Position Summary:
The Interventional Psychiatry Resource Manager will ensure high-quality, clinical delivery of interventional psychiatry services and expand access by introducing these services into new clinics across the state. This individual will design and own the processes and policies that provide clients with an excellent experience receiving interventional psychiatry services and ensure superior customer service to clients, providers, clinics, and referral sources. The position will be responsible for overall clinical oversight, productivity, and client satisfaction related to interventional psychiatry and will manage a team of technicians and support staff in a matrixed environment. Training will be provided.
About the Role:
- Provide clinical oversight for and lead continuous improvement of interventional psychiatry clinical operations across the state
- Manage team of interventional psychiatry technicians and medical assistants, with support from local clinic directors to address issues
- Oversee intake coordinators and insurance specialists for interventional psychiatry services within the market, ensuring seamless intake process with scheduling, verification of benefits, and prior authorization for internal customers and sites where interventional psychiatry is provided by our teams for an outside practice
- Responsible for site productivity for interventional services, proactively using data to manage performance and develop strategies to improve utilization and growth
- Design and deploy clinical processes for all components of the interventional psychiatry treatment client journey; adopt and share best practices across the enterprise
- Develop, implement and monitor compliance with policies and procedures for interventional psychiatry treatments, staff training and supervision, machine setup and maintenance, in line with applicable requirements, laws, regulations, and clinical best practice
- Coach intake or treatment staff on appropriate clinical conduct, boundaries, and techniques for sensitivity handling (depressed) patients
- Train, hire and conduct performance reviews
- Assist staff on proper clinical notation for intake, screening, assessments, and mapping/ treatment sessions for transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), Spravato, and ketamine as well as use of appropriate scheduling and procedures within practice EMR; contribute to regular audits
- Assist in the training of TMS and Spravato treatment staff to identify warning signs, contra-indications, risks, or patient crisis situations during their time of care
- Will also provide training for how to handle a crisis, chain of command, the importance of due diligence, etc. in assessing at-risk patients
- Assist clinicians and clinic directors with bridging the gap with their patients when discussing TMS and Spravato and provide support and education
- Receive training to be a last resort for treatment coverage on site when needed
- May be tasked with providing operational support to other statewide projects as needed
About You:
Experience successfully launching, scaling, and maintaining new clinical services, products, and/or processes
- 1-3 years operations experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong ability to lead and inspire teams
- Adept at designing end-to-end clinical processes, and identifying and executing on opportunities for process improvement
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively design solutions with members across all functional areas, both clinical and non-clinical
- Demonstrated ability to design solutions leveraging technology and data to support process efficiency, a positive customer experience, and evidence-based care
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, ability to be flexible and adaptable
- Master’s in healthcare or open operations-related
- Nursing background
- 5+ years operation of experience
- Experience in outpatient mental health, particularly interventional psychiatry
- Knowledge of current standards, principles, and practices of psychiatric care
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, methods, issues, and approaches in mental health
