Job Description

Overview:

This role will be supporting the day to day Transportation Operation activities of the largest citrus producer in the United States. This position will be responsible for interacting with both internal and external customers. Due to the 24/7 operational environment, the incumbent must be willing to work mid-shift.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Ensure dispatching of loads to all carriers and brokers
• Oversee the entire transportation process from our shipping docks to the final customer location
• Monitor and report driver issues such as accidents, safety concerns, or weather issues
• Work closely with sales, shipping, claims, and other departments to problem solve and find solutions involving transportation matters
• Work well within our Transportation team in both California and Texas to support our national operations
• Ensure trucks are checked-in and have correct pickup numbers
• Participate in Carrier Scorecarding
• Help the team achieve key performance metrics

Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:

• High School Diploma with 1-2 years experience preferred
• The applicant must be open and willing to work evenings and will be part of a monthly on-call after hours schedule
• Must maintain excellent attendance
• Strong decision-making abilities
• Clear communication skills with the ability to talk to all levels of our organization
• Advanced computer skills required with preference in Oracle Warehouse Management and Oracle Transportation Management systems
• Analytical and strategic thinking skills with proven problem-solving ability
• Basic knowledge of DOT trucking regulations preferred

Pay Rate: $21.00 an hour.
