Syndeo Staffing has a direct-hire opportunity for a Transportation Dispatcher in El Dorado, Kansas. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and is essential in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely movement of goods.

The Transportation Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching, scheduling, and coordinating drivers to meet delivery schedules while maintaining accurate records and providing excellent customer service. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and interacting with various stakeholders, including drivers, logistics personnel, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and dispatch transportation services to meet customer demands.
• Monitor and adjust routes to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain records of transportation activities, including logs, inspection reports, and receipts.
• Track inbound and outbound freight and notify customers of delivery statuses.
• Evaluate driver and vehicle performance, including route schedules and fuel consumption.
• Prepare reports on safety, vehicle maintenance, and transportation activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors through exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in logistics or transportation management preferred.
• Previous experience in transportation dispatching or logistics management.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and operational practices.
• Proficiency in transportation software such as Fleet Management Systems or GPS routing tools.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 5:00 pm. This position may be subject to overtime based on delivery schedules.

Pay:

$18 BOE
