Position Overview: We are seeking exceptional and professional NEMT drivers to join our dedicated team. As a valued member of our company, you will be responsible for transporting clients to and from medical appointments, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey. Key Responsibilities:
Provide Safe Transportation: Ensure the safety and well-being of clients during transportation by adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
Uphold Reliability: Demonstrate punctuality and dependability by arriving on time for scheduled pick-ups and drop-offs, maintaining accurate records of transportation services.
Show Compassion: Display empathy and understanding towards clients, offering assistance with boarding and exiting the vehicle and addressing any special needs or concerns.
Foster Fraternity: Cultivate a positive and supportive environment by building strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
Promote Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with fellow drivers, dispatchers, and support staff to ensure seamless coordination of transportation services.
Other Responsibilities:
Communicate in a timely and effective manner with clients, especially in the case of unforeseen changes
Keep company vehicle clean, orderly, and in proper working conditions according to company standards
Understand and follow applicable Federal and South Carolina State laws and regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles; comply with policies to ensure client safety and protect client privacy and security
Maintain client privacy by complying with HIPAA policies
Qualifications:
Must be 21+
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to follow GPS and use maps accurately
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
Previous experience in NEMT or a related field (preferred)
Experience in patient care (preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to interact and connect with a diverse client population
Ability to handle clients with care and patience
Commitment to upholding company values and standards
Must possess a high degree of integrity and trust along with the ability to work independently
Schedule: Must be available 5 days a week - 4 scheduled days, 1 flex (on-call) day
