Role Description
As a Transportation Engineer Intern, you will work under the supervision of engineering staff and directly with the company Owner, supporting the development of roadway and drainage designs, construction plan packages, and engineering reports in the fields of highway and stormwater design. Your daily tasks will include plan and design production in Bentley OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD, engineering calculations, field visits, attending meetings and taking minutes, and other relevant tasks that may be associated with this position.
This role is based primarily in person in Peachtree Corners, GA, as working together in the office fosters innovation, supports professional growth, and enables us to deliver better results for our clients. However, flexibility and hybrid work arrangements are available to support individual needs.
Requirements
· 4-year Civil Engineering (or related) degree at an accredited college or university – currently enrolled
· Interest in Transportation Engineering
· Aspiration to obtain Engineer in Training (EIT) and Professional Engineer (PE) licenses
· Some experience in CAD software, either AutoCAD or Bentley OpenRoads Designer
· Some experience in PDF software such as Adobe or Bluebeam
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
