Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to be based in Oakland, California.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Utilize technical software like Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite to analyze, and produce deliverables.
• Solve complex engineering problems, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure integrated solutions.
• Implement quality control measures by conducting thorough reviews and ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university and must have completed at least one year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• The candidate has completed two years of study in their program.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation drafting programs.
• Previous experience in the engineering or construction environment.
• Candidate must be highly motivated, curious, and have a team player attitude.
