Traveling Construction Foreman, Metal Decking
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Foreman is responsible for overseeing individual projects across the country to assure the safe installation of Sheet Metal Deck. This position oversees and directs the activities of the crew on job sites. This role requires strong leadership skills, commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities of Foreman:
· Blueprint reading, layout, and planning of the day-to-day work
· Ensuring all projects are performed in accordance with contract and safety standards
· Maintain tools and equipment so that they are kept in good working order and are safe for use
· Responsible for driving company truck with equipment
· Filling out timecards; enforcing work hours, dress codes, and other personnel related matters
· Work within OSHA, Customer, and Company Safety Standards
· Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
· Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License
· Must have experience installing steel metal deck
· Experience installing Nelson shear studs and grating, preferred.
· Read blueprints
· Must be able to travel 100 % nationwide
· Great work ethic and attitude
· Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus
Physical Requirements:
· Be able to lift at least 75lbs
· Work in Outdoor weather conditions (heat and cold)
· Work at heights greater than 40’
· Work with hand, power, pneumatic and powder actuated tools
Preferred certificates:
· OSHA 30
· CPR Certificate
· Aerial Lift / Forklift Certificate
· Welding certificate
Work schedule and Hours:
· Hours are based on job site requirements
· Full Time – NON-Exempt
