    Job Summary
    PolyClean USA is seeking a highly motivated and mechanically inclined Traveling Machine Operator (Road Warrior) to join our dynamic team. This is a travel-intensive position where you will be responsible for driving a company-owned non-CDL box truck to customer locations across the country and operating specialized optical sorting equipment. The schedule and duration of assignments vary based on customer needs—some projects may last 1 week , others may continue for 6 weeks or more.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sorting Operations & Equipment Management

    • Drive a company box truck (non-CDL required) safely to customer sites nationwide.

    • Operate and maintain EVO optical sorting units for both single and dual sort operations.

    • Adjust sort settings to maintain or improve sorting quality.

    • Understand product flow from classifier to pack-out and ensure accurate sorting.

    • Perform Turn Around procedures to clean and prepare equipment for new product runs.

    • Follow production schedules and adjust presets according to product type.

    Quality Control & Sampling

    • Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure sorted material meets client standards.

    • Collect and document material samples according to the established workflow.

    • Work closely with Satake technicians for equipment calibration and troubleshooting.

    Equipment Maintenance & Safety Compliance

    • Inspect, clean, and replace hoses, receiver lids, and filters as needed.

    • Perform routine maintenance on Satake sorting machines and air compressors.

    • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols during maintenance.

    • Complete and submit daily safe work permits.

    Workplace Efficiency & Communication

    • Maintain professional communication with coworkers, supervisors, and clients.

    • Order and track necessary supplies to support uninterrupted operations.

    • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team in varied environments.

    Work Schedule & Environment

    • Highly variable work schedule – hours and days worked will fluctuate based on project location and duration.

    • Job durations range from 1 week to 6+ weeks depending on customer needs.

    • Overnight stays and extended travel are required; hotel accommodations and travel stipends provided.

    • Work performed in industrial settings with exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery.

    • Requires wearing PPE at all times (hard hat, FR clothing, safety glasses, earplugs, etc.).

    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Required Qualifications:

    • Valid driver's license (non-CDL) and clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

    • Clean background check (mandatory for employment).

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and production schedules.

    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

    • Ability to work independently and follow standardized operating procedures.

    • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible schedules.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience operating optical sorting equipment (e.g., EVO, Satake).

    • Prior experience in manufacturing, production, or machine operation.

    • Experience in plastics, chemicals, or industrial sorting environments.
