    Responsible for travelling and installing generac generators. Compensation would be $20-$30 an hour depending on experience plus a bonus for every completed job. Benefits are Medical, Dental and Vision. I would like to hire someone with 3-5 years experience.

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Traveling Generator Installer to join our team. This role involves traveling to various job sites to install, test, and service backup power generators for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. The ideal candidate should have electrical and mechanical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to travel extensively.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Travel to customer locations across the region/country to install standby and portable generators.

    Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.

    Perform electrical and mechanical connections, including wiring, fuel system setup, and grounding.

    Test and troubleshoot generators to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards.

    Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other team members to complete installations efficiently.

    Provide customer training on generator operation and maintenance.

    Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and site conditions.

    Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    Experience in generator installation, electrical work, or related field.

    Knowledge of diesel, natural gas, and propane generator systems.

    Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.

    Proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation.

    Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

    Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

    Must be willing to travel extensively and stay at job sites as required.

    Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

    Certifications such as OSHA 10/30, NFPA 70E, or a Journeyman Electrician License (preferred but not required).

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (50+ lbs).

    Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

    Capable of standing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
