JOB DESCRIPTION
- Assist in training and review of accounting type information with manufacturing personnel.
- Review standard costs for accountability and accuracy within the cost systems and bills of materials
- Prepare and/or approve costing data for all new styles
- Develop and approve standard cost input data for each new year on a plant wide basis based on the annual budget.
- Participate in the semi-annual inventory process by taking or auditing all departments.
- Reconciliation of inventory dollars with the general ledger
- Review costing of all inventory transfers between plants/dc’s
- Assist if possible with plant computer technology and work with corporate IT when needed for connectivity/issues at the plant level.
- Maintain all cost related Mfg transactions in CAS system, including work centers and routings
- Copy all Mfg BOM’s from active to std cost buckets and link to operational routings and time studies.
- Load CAS system BOM and routings to SAP , including copying to all relative variables.
- Maintain and add all new std cost for all materials and outside FG based on input received.
- Maintain material, labor and OH rates for estimated cost system.
- Miscellaneous entries as required
- Analyze monthly expenses and prepare charts/reports each month.
- Prepare departmental budget for plant which involves spending dollars, labor dollars, depreciation dollars, departmental headcount and variance
Required Skills
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 Years of Accounting Experience including some in manufacturing environment
- Inventory Control Accounting
- Cost Accounting
- Strong Communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Accounting degree preferred
- Microsoft office proficiency
- SAP functionality preferred
- Knowledge of accounting principles for MFG facility
