Physical Oil/Energy Commodity Broker
Job Description
Triton is looking for an experienced physical oil/energy professional to fill the role of Commodity Broker. Experience and established professional relationship with companies in North America is a must. Triton is searching for knowledgeable "heavies" or C4+ applicants, along with renewable fuels and refined products. You will be responsible for the effective management and profitable operation of your assigned market, Triton employees work together as a single, cohesive unit, sharing information internally to strategize and formulate physical positions.
The right candidate must be willing to communicate with numerous companies at any given moment while holding discussions to figure out bids and offers for specific oil products. It will be key to communicate with these companies, daily, to maintain a product/market acuteness and relationships. This position is open to U.S.A. or Canadian citizens.
Responsibilities:
· Talk with traders/marketers, coast-to-coast
· Maintain daily positions for individual companies
· Successfully negotiate positions to close physical product deals with buyers and sellers
· Track and analyze information to assess current and future opportunities
· Some North American travel required for client visits
Qualifications:
· Ideally, 5+ years in physical Oil/Energy trading and/or brokering
· Excellent negotiation skills
· Strong mathematical skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to maintain pre-existing relationships & actively pursue new opportunities
· Strong analytical skills & leadership qualities
· Ability to work under pressure
· Self-starter with ability to multi-task & work autonomously
· Comfortable making cold calls
Pay:
· This is a 100% commission based structure
· Role would be as an Independent Contractor
