    Voted one of the top food trucks in the Fairfield County/NY metro area, the Colony Grill “Hot Oil Rig” is a custom-built, fully self-contained pizza truck that delivers our signature thin-crust bar-style pizzas and Colony’s exceptional hospitality to house parties, corporate outings, and community events.

    The Truck Lead is responsible for the overall operations of the Colony Grill Pizza Truck (also known as “The Hot Oil Rig”) to ensure total guest satisfaction while increasing profitability and brand awareness by way of excellent execution of operational standards. He/she also optimizes profits by controlling food, beverage, and labor costs, and ensures guest satisfaction with prompt problem resolution. Additionally, the truck lead assists with training and inspiration of other truck staff, consistently emphasizing our mission, attributes, and commandments.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Planning and organizing

    Studies past sales experience records, confers with truck coordinator, keeps alert to holidays and special events; forecasts and prepares work schedules for truck support employees in advance in accordance with event size.

    Observes guest reactions and confers frequently with staff and truck coordinator to determine guest satisfactions, dissatisfactions, relative popularity of menu items, and so on, and reports such information with recommendations to the truck coordinator/director of operations.

    Observes daily the condition of all physical facilities and equipment on the truck, making repair recommendations when needed.

    Anticipates all material needs, supplies; assures availability of the same.

    Inspects, plans, and assures that all personnel, facilities, and materials are in complete readiness for excellent service before each truck event.

    Discusses in advance event details to assure full understanding of guest expectations.

    Defines and explains clearly for truck staff their responsibilities with respect to event.

    Follows all inventory procedures set forth by the company and assures all relevant reports have been scanned to the main office in a reasonable time.

    Upholds all opening and closing procedures on the truck, making the managers.

    Supervising

    Will correct promptly any deviations from established service standards by support staff.

    Consults with supervisor and truck coordinator regarding any potential issues.

    Controls according to establish policies, standards, and procedures, employee performance, conduct, dress, hygiene, sanitation, and personal appearance related to truck.

    Studies all evidence of waste – time, materials, and recommendations for prevention.

    Personifies graciousness and hospitality to guest and employees on the basis of “Every Guest is Our Only Guest.”

    Credentials and Experience:

    Ability to establish, maintain and enforce consistently high-performance standards.

    Conduct a variety of administrative duties that maximize the efficiency, productivity, and organization of the truck and team.

    Capable of adapting his/her leadership style to a variety of situations and scenarios

    Ability to supervise, coach, develop, lead & motivate employees.

    Demonstrates a genuine enthusiasm and warmth towards the guest and attitude of service. Is self- motivated and competitive. Is driven to grow and develop personally while developing those around them.

    Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to listen effectively, process information quickly, and transfer knowledge to others in accordance with company values of trust, respect & commitment to excellence.

    Requirements/Misc.:

    Must be able to regularly lift 45 lbs. based on equipment related to truck service.

    Must feel comfortable driving vehicle with unusually large dimensions. (Truck is 26 feet long, 14 feet high, 10 feet wide).

    Past commercial or large vehicle driving experience is advantageous.

    Must be comfortable working nights, weekends, and varied hours.

    Traditional warm weather months are especially busy.

    Exemplary driving record mandatory.

    Use of illicit drugs (or any drugs that cause drowsiness or sleepiness) and/or the use of alcohol before or during operation of truck is illegal and prohibited.
