    This position requires a J. D. from an accredited Law School. We are seeking an experienced Trusts and Estates Attorney to join our growing team. This is an in-house position (NOT remote). Please don't apply if you don't live in Connecticut, or if you aren't an attorney barred in Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in trusts and estates law, with a strong understanding of Connecticut law. This role requires someone who is not only detail-oriented and knowledgeable but also enjoys working directly with clients to help them plan for their futures. Responsibilities: • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs, analyzing the situation, then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action • Draft and file wills, trusts, and powers of attorney • Confer with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed • Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current Key Responsibilities: • Draft, review, and finalize estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on estate planning, probate, and trust administration. • Represent clients in probate court and during estate administration processes. • Collaborate with colleagues to develop comprehensive estate plans tailored to clients’ needs. • Stay current on changes in Connecticut estate law and advise clients accordingly. • Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and client service. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required • Must have worked on estate planning and probate law issues for at least 1-2 years • Candidates should be great communicators, specifically in situations when emotions and stress are high • Wide range of knowledge regarding real estate-related topics such as title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Active membership in the Connecticut State Bar. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in trusts and estates law. • Deep knowledge of Connecticut estate planning, probate, and trust law. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • A team player with a positive attitude and a sense of humor. • Love of dogs and chocolate a plus! Compensation: $95,000 - $110,000 yearly + bonuses
