    Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Trust Compliance Officer who is knowledgeable in personal and institutional trust. This role is crucial to ensuring that all applicable trust legal, regulatory, and fiduciary requirements are met. Our Client’s Risk team is a close-knit group that encompasses security, BSA, ERM, AML, and fraud compliance, with a remarkable track record of low turnover. As Trust Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in assessing and ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and fiduciary agreements. Your responsibility will also include evaluating Trust policies and procedures, making necessary recommendations for improvement, and contributing to trust examinations and audits as required.

    Qualifications

Candidates must have personal trust experience. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of personal trust regulatory compliance and a proactive approach to maintaining and improving compliance standards. A background in trust operations or administration combined with at least seven years of experience is required. A CFIRS designation is preferred, though candidates willing to obtain this certification will be considered. The bank offers support for classes and CEUs.

Experience researching, analyzing, and applying trust laws, along with the ability to build strong rapport with managers and senior management, is required. Effective and tactful communication of deficiencies to managers and management is crucial. Equally important is your ability to present findings and recommendations to committees and boards, influencing their decision-making process.

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics is required.
