A specialized Temecula law firm is seeking an experienced Trust and Estates Attorney to complement its estate planning and estate litigation department. Responsibilities: • Interface with new and existing clients and collaborate with our legal team to manage cases from beginning to end. • Provide expert advice on estate planning and wealth transfer strategies to individuals, couples, and business owners. • Review and customize legal documents related to trusts and estates, such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and trust transfer documentation. • Oversee the administration of trusts, including the distribution of assets, the resolution of disputes, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. • Provide clients high quality legal advice, strategy and representation in California probate and trust litigation matters in court, mediations, and depositions. • Minimum billed and collected hours: 1,350 per year for full-time (we expect high-quality work). • Origination is not required, but is encouraged and rewarded. Qualifications: • A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. • Active membership in good standing in the State Bar of California. • A minimum of 3 years’ experience practicing in California probate courts, including serving as counsel of record on at least 25 filed petitions. • Experience with Wealth Counsel preferred. Experience preparing estate tax returns is a plus. • Honest, confident, and independent self-starter. • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. • Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, potential clients, referral sources, and team members. Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000 yearly
