Tunnell Companies, LP is a successful Real Estate Management Company in Long Neck, Delaware responsible for the development, construction and maintenance of multiple resort/full-time residential communities. The Company manages six separate Pot-Nets communities in addition to the Baywood Greens Golf Course Community. Tunnell Companies has been in continuous operation and growing since 1962.

Position: Public Safety Officer - Night Shift Hours: This is a 40-hours per week position. Night work (midnight shifts) will be required. This position is eligible to participate in all of our benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, 401k, etc.) Location: Pot-Nets Communities & Baywood Greens.

Job Requirements & Descripion:

1. Must be at least 21 years of age
2. Be self-motivated and work well with others
3. Possess a Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
4. High school diploma or equivalent desired
5. Possess good communication skills, both oral and written
6. Must be able to carry a 50-pound weight a distance of 50 feet
7. Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces
8. Must successfully pass a background check, and drug/alcohol test
9. Have basic computer skills, be able to use cell phones, portable and mobile two-way radios, monitor the local Fire and EMS scanner, as well as various other security items and office equipment
10. Be able to work shift work & night time
11. Possess the physical ability to stand, walk, and drive for long periods of time, as well as open, close, and secure large gates and doors
12. Observe and report suspicious activities and persons
13. Write detailed reports and logs
14. Enforce community rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security
15. Work in various weather elements
16. Ability to establish and enhance relationships with residents and guests promoting Baywood Greens and Pot-Nets Communities
17. Be able to professionally and effectively interact with residents and guests in a respectful manner and with discretion, even when they are unruly or belligerent
18. Assist other departments and personnel within Tunnell Companies with security issues when needed
19. Work in a rank structured environment complying with requests and orders from those of a higher rank
20. Complete Work Orders and log street light outages, as well as notify on-call maintenance employees of emergency situations
21. Promote and ensure a safe, and friendly environment for all residents and guests
