JOB SUMMARY The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all duties related to the Operations Department. This includes but is not limited to overseeing employee hiring and corrective action programs, DOT compliance for movers and trucks, ensuring that day-to-day operations are successful, coordinating customer service/care, problem solving, and setting the culture for an operations department that completes 5000+ moves a year with 50+ full time employees. - Base salary of $42,000+ plus a monthly bonus program

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversees hiring and training of Movers and Drivers.
- Final point of contact for Movers/Drivers
- Tracks and schedules truck maintenance
- Identifies procedural areas of need and implements improvements
- Oversees efforts to keep Direct Labor in line
- Oversees the daily scheduling of trucks and movers
- Manages employee paperwork
- Ensures Spot Checks occur daily
- Identifies current and potential issues and takes corrective action
- Ensures Department adheres to Employee Manual and Company policies and procedures
- Manages Operations Staff to ensure all job duties are completed daily, weekly, and monthly.
- After-hours point of contact
- Ensures trucks and equipment are within DOT compliance
- Leads and creates a positive Safety Culture
- Sets and maintains a culture of Movers Who Care
- Ensures the financial wellbeing of the Operations Department
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or operations preferred. High School education and a clean driving record is required
- 6 months to 1 year of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® or moving industry experience is preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work some Saturdays
- Strong team player with the ability to listen and communicate in an effective, helpful and friendly manner with co-workers, customers and management
- Proficiency in map reading and the ability to communicate directions
- Language Skills: ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization; bilingual is a plus
- Reasoning Ability: ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations with limited standardized procedures. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished with written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Physical Demands: the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, sit, hear, use hands and fingers, handle, feel and/or lift with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to lift 100 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Effective listening and communication; helpful and friendly with co-workers, customers and management
- Strong logic and mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using whole numbers and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of dollars, weight measurement, volume, distance and time)
- Creative problem-solving abilities for a variety of situations with limited standardized procedures

- Must be proficient with the following Microsoft applications: Excel, Word, and Outlook
