Qualifications
- Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an environmental-related discipline, chemistry, engineering, or a related field. (REQUIRED)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to conduct research into PC and application issues.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with a positive attitude and good work ethic.
- Understanding of federal, state, and local environmental standards and regulations.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, talking, and hearing, with occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and tasting or smelling. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision.
- Work environment includes occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, outside weather conditions, and extreme heat. Noise level is usually moderate.
- Teamwork by helping and volunteering across a variety of tasks.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and always follow all safety rules/procedures.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
