We are seeking a talented and creative Designer/Developer to join our dynamic web application team. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of design expertise, development skills, and strong interpersonal communication to deliver exceptional web solutions. This role emphasizes requirements gathering, user research, user experience (UX), usability, and accessibility.

You will focus on designing and configuring web forms for citizens, with workflow automation on a cloud-based government modernization platform, ideally SimpliGov. Your work will adhere to strict design guidelines, ensuring usability and accessibility, especially for users with disabilities. A solid understanding of responsive web and mobile design, layout, and browser compatibility is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for web forms and workflows.

Design and configure user-friendly, accessible web forms and workflows using tools like SimpliGov, Microsoft Forms, or Formstack.

Ensure all web designs comply with WCAG accessibility standards and best practices.

Utilize prototyping tools like Figma or Adobe XD to create intuitive user interfaces.

Develop and maintain front-end elements using HTML, CSS, and some JavaScript.

Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to refine designs.

Perform browser compatibility testing across various platforms and devices.

Implement responsive design techniques to ensure seamless performance on both desktop and mobile devices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Use tools like Power BI and SQL for data visualization and querying as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in REST API

4+ years of experience with prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD)

4+ years of experience in user experience (UX) principles and user-centered design

4+ years of expertise in web accessibility standards (WCAG compliance) and best practices

4+ years of experience in front-end development (HTML, CSS, some JavaScript)

4+ years of visual design experience tailored to web and mobile platforms

4+ years of experience developing interactive web forms and workflows

4+ years of experience in browser compatibility testing across various platforms and devices

4+ years of familiarity with responsive design techniques

4+ years of strong attention to detail in layout, typography, and visual hierarchy

4+ years of experience in usability testing and gathering user feedback

4+ years of experience collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams

4+ years of experience with form-building tools (SimpliGov, Microsoft Forms, WuForm, or Formstack)

4+ years of basic understanding of business rule testing and workflow validation

4+ years of experience with Power BI

4+ years of experience in SQL Querying
