Job Summary:
The Business Operations Manager will be the most senior manager in the company overseeing a staff of seven employees comprising three business units. The Business Operations Manager will report directly to the President of N. American Operations and other members of the ownership group. This is a multifaceted leadership role. The job role will encompass the day to day management of employees, business processes, and vendor/client relations. The Business Operations Manager will be expected to examine the current business and oversee the development, implementation, and enforcement of policies and procedures where needed to streamline efficiency and guide the business as it grows. The Business Operations Manager will be expected to monitor the business’s key performance indicators and ensure company goals are being met regarding profit margins and cash flow.
This individual will work closely with all departments and will assist in developing high level business strategy with the department heads and ownership team. The Business Operations Manager will work closely with the Product and Support Manager, and Compliance Manager, to ensure obligations to clients and various third-party partners are met. Overseeing the prioritization of tasks in a multiunit company is an expected job function of the Business Operations Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
-Develop and maintain an understanding of industry standards and best practices.
-Develop quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards to better understand the company’s overall effectiveness, which can be evaluated and measured to identify opportunities for improvement.
-Review, analyze, and evaluate overall business performance to recommend and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline day to day business activities.
-Assists department managers in the organization and prioritization of human and material resources.
-Develop, lead, and mentor the managers of each business unit.
-Enforce policies and procedures and hold department managers accountable to improve on individual and overall company productivity.
Desired Skillset:
-Keen organizational and operational mindset with a persistent focus on efficiency.
-Understanding and tracking of company budget and key performance indicators.
-Identify and understand trends in client purchasing and its effect on the company’s purchasing.
-Identify department inefficiencies and the financial impact to the company.
-An analytical mindset for problem solving with a tilt toward customer service.
-Can be handed a scenario or task, sometimes with little situational knowledge, and find an equitable resolution.
-Can help build and lead a company across multiple departments.
-Experience in the wholesale and distribution of durable goods and the associated processes.
-Confident, effective, and articulate communicator.
-Payment industry experience preferred, but not required.
-Kiosk or self-service experience preferred, but not required.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and able to quickly learn new software programs.
Compensation:
$75K - $85K Salary (Commensurate with relevant experience.)
Company wide end of year bonus scheme
2 Weeks paid vacation rising to 3 weeks after 3 years of service
