Job Description

United Automobile Insurance Company (UAIC) seeks an experienced PIP ADJUSTER to handle Florida PIP claims.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• As a PIP Adjuster, you will perform tasks intended to evaluate PIP claims for compensability.  The tasks vary by role, but some representative tasks include:  
  • Request and review data and records to verify coverage and qualify claimants for PIP benefits.  
  • Communicate with claimants, attorneys, medical providers, etc., by phone, computer and in person. 
  • Coordinate and cooperate with our Special Investigations Unit (SIU) on claims that merit SIU review.  
  • Review and process medical bills and records.  
  • Coordinate, cooperate and/or participate with examiners on examinations under oath (EUOs).
  • Prepare, develop and maintain documents in electronic claim files.   
  • Discuss and review claims with supervisors. 
  • Negotiate settlements.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Valid and active FL Adjuster License 
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows styled applications and internet usage.
• Prior PIP claims experience  (non-standard auto experience is a plus)
