    Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Uptown is a part of United Surgical Partners International (USPI). USPI owns and operates multiple surgical hospitals and ambulatory surgical care centers throughout the United States and London; with headquarter located in Addison, TX.

     

    The primary focus of this position is on the payroll process and system. Responsibilities of this position are to manage the payroll system, insure the accuracy of the payroll system, insure accurate and timely payments from the payroll system and compliance with Internal Control policies and procedures. Secondary responsibilities focus on the benefit administration and education for the facilities employees. This includes the accurate entry and management of the benefit system as well as education of the employees regarding options available to them. This position also supports the human resources function of the hospital. This includes assisting with the processes of hiring, retention, termination, personnel records, legal compliance and benefits. Responsibilities include supporting management with the administration of personnel rules and regulations, pay and job classifications, payroll, and programs for employee training, safety, and new employee orientation.

    Required Skills

    • High school graduate or equivalent. College degree preferred
    • Three years experience in hospital business office or administration.
    • Knowledge of Payroll & Benefits Process, FMLA, Worker’s Compensation, OSHA, Employee benefits, 401k.
    • Excellent computer skills, Must be Excel and word proficient
    • Able to deal tactfully with all staff members
    • Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously
    • Organized and time management is a must.

    Required Experience
