  • Responsibilities

    North Texas Surgery Center is looking for a top-performer RN, for our PRN position, with solid knowledge of Pre-operative and PACU Nursing. This is a fast paced environment that is driven to reach the highest quality and satisfaction outcomes in Texas.

    The ideal candidate will ensure the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care. The RN cares for all ages from 1 month to geriatric. Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Perioperative Services, the RN is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients’ condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all time. The ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

    Required Skills

    Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.

    • At least 1 year experience as a RN in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU unit.
    • Active RN license in the state.
    • BLS
    • Current ACLS / PALS preferred or included in education plan
    • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
    • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
    • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

    Required Experience

    *Experience working in an ASC is a plus.

    *Must be team-oriented and patient-focused.

  • Qualifications
