    Job Description

    Looking for a high potential Business/Finance/Accounting Undergraduate with strong interest to work in the Theme Park industry. The specific role will be working in one of the Universal Studios Hollywood Finance/Accounting teams located at the theme park. One to two major projects will be assigned, often related to FP&A, Accounting, Cost optimization, financial reporting, Process improvement and other financial analysis. The internship length will be roughly 10 weeks with flexibility to adapt to student schedule as needed. The intern program is intended to be a pipeline program into our Full-time roles and the successful completion of this internship and hire recommendation by immediate manager will position the candidate for immediate or upcoming full-time opportunities.

    Internship Scope:

    • Make a meaningful contribution to the Business by successfully completing well defined work projects
    • Projects will be in line with dept priorities and will enable demonstration of Finance/Accounting capability and potential
    • Scope of projects often includes tactical work as well as analysis
    • Each project will have a tangible deliverable with presentations/reviews throughout the process
    • In order to successfully complete them, effectively working with Non-Finance partners will be required
    • Specific projects will likely be shared in advance of the internship start

    Enable intern to experience the breadth of Finance career opportunity at a Theme park business:

    • Provide broad exposure to all elements of USH from an operational and financial perspective
    • Project work on the Operations side of the park including systems/reporting, strategic and analytical work
    • Exposure to all other major elements of the business via 1:1 meetings, in-park walks/experiences and actual work shifts out in the park (incl. Ticketing, Food/Retail, Citywalk/Parking, Controllership and FP&A)
    • Assigned Buddy and Mentor roles including frequent open door support throughout the experience

    Pay Range: $18-$25/hour

    Please note this is a hybrid internship.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Rising Senior with expected graduation in Summer 2025, Winter 2025 or Summer 2026
    • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting/finance or related field.
    • GPA 3.4 or greater
    • Willingness to work overtime, and/or on weekends with short notice (not anticipated but possible)
    • Must be willing to work in Universal City and to submit to a background investigation
    • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Desire to pursue a career in the Theme park industry
    • Demonstrated leadership potential at work, school, community or in other venues
    • Strong computer skills including Excel and Powerpoint, ideally with prior exposure to accounting software (SAP)
    • Prior internship in Business, ideally financial fields
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to influence others (verbal, written, presentations)
    • Resourceful problem solver, with the ability to prioritize and create approaches to meet required objectives.
