Do you have accounting experience and the willingness to learn more? This opportunity could be just what you are looking for! As an Accountant for Universal Logistics, you will gain exposure to many facets of the company. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

·         Collaborating with managers and leaders on a daily basis and reporting to the segment group controller

·         Preparing monthly financial packages for our subsidiaries

·         Analyzing and preparing foreign currency financial statements

·         Monthly financial reporting, account reconciliations, and financial analysis

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH:

·         Experience in a publicly traded company with a heavy internal control structure

·         3 - 5 years general ledger and financial reporting in a multi-entity and multi-location operation

·         Knowledge of SOX compliance

·         Fixed asset and lease experience

·         Advanced skills in Excel and exposure to several operating systems

·         Sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines

·         Strong communication skills and multi-tasking abilities

·         Ability to work independently or in a group

·         Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred but not required
