  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Responsible for the complete deconstruction and reconstruction of property furnishings, as required, and on a timely basis as well as maintaining the materials needed for this activity.

    • Examine furniture frames, upholstery, springs, and webbing to locate defects.
    • Tear down of property furniture to prepare for refinishing.
    • Determine best way to reconstruct property furnishings to include: evaluation of need to cut, sew, staple, use adhesives, etc. and the selection of appropriate fabrics as dictated by clean ability, use, and function.
    • On a case-by-case basis, recognize design flaws, taking into consideration customer safety, wear ability, etc., and reconstruct accordingly.
    • Maintain project time line and estimate costs for all projects.
    • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Minimum of 3 years varied construction experience with background in garments and home décor.
    • High School Diploma preferred.
    • Must have good math skills and ability to take and read measurements.
    • Knowledge of construction materials.
    • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
    • Must be proficient, and able to safely and effectively use air tools, hand tools, sewing machines, and staple pullers.
    • Other physical requirements include but are not limited to reaching, grasping, bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.
    • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
