Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team at our Tennessee location. This role involves upholstering commercial furniture pieces, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality, durability, and aesthetic appeal. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong craftsmanship, and a commitment to delivering top-notch work.

Key Responsibilities:
Furniture Upholstery:
- Measure, cut, and apply fabric, vinyl, or leather coverings to various furniture frames and components.
- Ensure all upholstery work aligns with specifications, design details, and quality standards.
Repair and Maintenance:
- Inspect upholstered items for defects or damage and perform repairs as necessary.
- Replace worn materials and padding to restore furniture to its original condition.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other team members, including production supervisors and assembly teams, to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Provide input on improving production processes or materials used.
Safety and Compliance:
- Operate and maintain upholstery tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Adhere to all workplace safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in upholstery, preferably in commercial or custom furniture production.
- Ability to read and interpret design blueprints, sketches, and specifications.
- Skilled in using upholstery tools such as staple guns, sewing machines, foam cutters, and measuring tools.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality and precision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with a variety of upholstery materials, including fabric, leather, and vinyl.
- Knowledge of ergonomic design principles is a plus.
- Familiarity with commercial furniture standards and trends.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy furniture components and materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and working with hands.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
