    Key Responsibilities

    As an Upholstery Technician, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality upholstery projects. Your responsibilities will include:

    · Manipulating materials, cutting patterns, and sewing with commercial-grade sewing machines.

    · Residential and commercial furniture upholstery

    · Removing and installing automotive interiors, seat teardown, foam cutting, and rebuilding.

    · Repairing and installing headliners, interior parts, and seat cushions for vehicles and boats.

    · Preparing patterns, templates, and cutting lines using sketches, blueprints, or templates.

    · Operating hand and power tools, such as staple guns, hot-knife cutters, and other industrial equipment.

    · Documenting time and materials for each job.

    · Ensuring compliance with regulations (OSHA, DOT, FAA) and company standards.

    · Performing other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience:

    · 2+ years’ experience in residential or commercial furniture upholstery

    · (Experience requirement may be reduced with a strong portfolio.)

    · High School Diploma or GED.

    · Formal training in high-end automotive, aircraft, or marine upholstery is a plus.

    Technical Skills:

    · Proficiency in working with materials such as leather, vinyl, cloth, and carpet.

    · Expertise in flat pattern layout, sewing, gluing, and foam fabrication.

    · Experience with walking foot sewing machines and stitching techniques.

    · Custom design experience is a plus.

    General Skills & Requirements:

    · Strong attention to detail with an appreciation for luxury vehicles.

    · Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    · Good communication skills (verbal and written).

    · Punctual, career-oriented, and self-motivated.

    · Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift heavy components as needed.

    · Willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule, including overtime if required.

    · Drug-free with a clean criminal background (background checks and drug testing required).
