    Job Summary:

    As the first point of contact, the Upscale Host/Hostess sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. This role requires poise, professionalism, and impeccable hospitality skills to warmly greet guests, manage reservations, and coordinate seating with efficiency and grace.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Guest Experience & Hospitality

    Greet guests with warmth and elegance, ensuring a memorable first impression.

    Use guest name recognition whenever possible to provide a personalized experience.

    Maintain a polished and composed demeanor, even during high-pressure moments.

    Escort guests to their tables with grace and efficiency, offering menus and explaining any special details.

    Address guest inquiries professionally and knowledgeably, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.

    Reservation & Seating Management

    Manage the reservation system (OpenTable, Resy,) with precision and organization.

    Strategically assign tables to optimize service flow and accommodate VIPs or special requests.

    Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and management to ensure seamless service.

    Oversee waitlists and estimated wait times, keeping guests informed with polished communication.

    Ambiance & Presentation

    Ensure the entrance, lobby, and host stand are always immaculate and welcoming.

    Monitor the dining room flow, ensuring an elegant and harmonious atmosphere.

    Assist with special event coordination, greeting and guiding private dining guests as needed.

    Professionalism & Teamwork

    Work closely with the management team to accommodate VIPs, regular guests, and special occasions.

    Provide menu and restaurant knowledge to assist guests with questions and recommendations.

    Maintain a refined, well-groomed appearance, adhering to luxury hospitality standards.

    Participate in pre-shift meetings to review daily reservations, special requests, and service expectations.

    Qualifications: ✅ 2+ years of experience in a fine dining or luxury hospitality setting. ✅ Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. ✅ Proficiency in reservation management software (e.g., OpenTable, Resy, SevenRooms). ✅ Strong guest service instincts with a polished, warm, and professional demeanor. ✅ Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a high-end environment. ✅ Must be able to stand for extended periods and move gracefully throughout the restaurant.
