New York Military Academy (NYMA) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic High School Science Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science, and possess a basic knowledge of Physics. Key Responsibilities:
• Instruction: Teach high school-level Chemistry, Biology, and Earth Science courses. Basic knowledge of Physics is required to support the curriculum.
• Curriculum Development: Develop and implement engaging and comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and promote student understanding and appreciation of science.
• Laboratory Management: Conduct and supervise laboratory experiments, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
• Assessment: Evaluate and monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other faculty members to enhance the overall educational experience and support interdisciplinary learning.
• Advisory Role: Serve as an advisor to a group of students, providing guidance and support in their academic and personal growth.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Valid teaching certification.
• Experience of teaching high school science courses. Outstanding fresh graduates would also be considered.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
