    Patient Care:

    Provide urgent medical care for a wide range of conditions, including injuries, illnesses, and minor medical emergencies (e.g., fractures, sprains, infections, and asthma).

    Perform thorough physical examinations, review medical histories, and order diagnostic tests (labs, x-rays, etc.).

    Diagnose and treat minor acute conditions, including colds, flu, infections, and allergic reactions.

    Administer treatments such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and medication prescriptions.

    Provide follow-up care and instructions for discharged patients.

    Ensure proper documentation of patient care in electronic health records (EHR) systems.

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with nursing and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care delivery.

    Collaborate with specialists for more complex cases and refer patients to emergency services if needed.

    Clinical Procedures:

    Perform minor surgical procedures (e.g., laceration repair, abscess drainage, and removal of foreign bodies).

    Administer vaccines, immunizations, and routine screenings.

    Manage patients with urgent yet non-life-threatening medical conditions (e.g., allergic reactions, dehydration, and mild trauma).

    Patient Education:

    Educate patients on preventive care, medication adherence, and lifestyle changes.

    Counsel patients on managing chronic conditions that may require follow-up care.

    Emergency Preparedness:

    Recognize when conditions require emergency medical intervention or transfer to the hospital.

    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emergency medical procedures and treatments.

    Quality Control & Compliance:

    Adhere to healthcare policies and legal regulations to ensure quality care.

    Maintain compliance with HIPAA and other patient confidentiality standards.

    Participate in ongoing medical education to stay updated on best practices in urgent care.

    Qualifications:

    Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.

    License: Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related specialty; valid state medical license.

    Experience: Previous experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is preferred.

    Skills:

    Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.

    Ability to perform minor surgical procedures and manage acute care cases.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with patients and a multidisciplinary team.

    Knowledge of EHR systems for accurate documentation and record-keeping.
