We are seeking a knowledgeable and driven Used Car Director to be responsible for sourcing and purchasing a diverse range of used vehicles at competitive prices. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for value, excellent negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the automotive market. Responsibilities: • Role : Lead the team and buy 35+ cars per month at front end average of $3,500+ • Strategic Leadership: Identify, evaluate, and purchase quality used vehicles that align with company standards and profitability goals. • Market Analysis : Stay current with market trends, pricing, and demand to inform buying decisions. • Appraisal Process: Conduct detailed inspections and appraisals of potential vehicle purchases. • Inventory Management: Manage all aspects of the purchasing process, including documentation and compliance with legal requirements. • Financial Management: Creating and overseeing budgets, predicting sales and expenses, and ensuring financial objectives are achieved. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Used Car Buyer or similar role in the automotive industry. • Extensive background in used cars, including experience with desking, vehicle appraisals, wholesale, and auction activities. • Understanding of reconditioning requirements, costs, and repair approval process. • Strong ability to assess vehicle conditions accurately. • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work independently as will as with a team and make decisive purchasing decisions. • Knowledge of automotive sales and the used vehicle market. Compensation: $150,000 - $300,000
