  • Responsibilities

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position has primary responsibility to assist Braden River Utilities Field Manager to provide utility locates, maintain and operate property and equipment owned and operated by Braden River Utilities and miscellaneous tasks as they occur.

    Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm, ½ hr. for lunch and other hours as needed (occasional support for special functions, weekends, and evenings)

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Provide utility locates and field locates as required by FL Sunshine Services.
    • Review and respond to field locate tickets as required by FL Sunshine Services.
    • Basic knowledge of industrial electrical, plumbing and pipe fitting.
    • Assist with operation and maintenance of BRU pump stations and well pump systems.
    • Assist in taking flow meter readings and completing data for BRU.
    • Assist with maintenance and blow off BRU main lines.
    • Assist with maintenance of BRU pump station and well site properties.
    • Assure company safety guidelines are followed.
    • Assist with maintenance, record keeping and storage of company equipment.
    • Assist with implementation of equipment repairs.
    • Take pride in work performed and produce a high quality end product.
    • Assist with inspection of Soil Moisture Sensor (SMS) installations.
    • On call after hours.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • Knowledge and application of industrial electrical, plumbing and pipe fitting.
    • Knowledge and operation of pump stations and well pump systems.
    • Prior experience with a variety of maintenance tasks
    • Knowledge to utilize the proper equipment to perform the required task
    • Ability to work independently and efficiently
    • Good public relations and communication skills
    • Valid Florida driver's license
    • Knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
    • Must possess strong problem-solving skills.
    • Must be able to lift to 80 pounds.
    • Ability to use computers and mobile devices.
    • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
    • Must be able to communicate effectively.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    Work primarily performed in the outdoor environment, exposed to hot, cold, damp and dirty conditions.
