Key Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain process equipment essential to plant production.
* Execute pre-operation safety checks and regular inspections on mobile machinery, including skid steer loaders, scissor lifts, and forklifts.
* Open, load, and unload tank truck vessels, monitor tank levels to prevent overflow, and manage pump and valve operations.
* Perform routine chemical analysis (e.g., bench tests, hydrometer use, titration) to ensure product quality meets established standards.
* Complete and update safety, quality, and ISO documentation as required.
* Adhere to established safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, and promptly report any safety or quality issues.
* Coordinate production schedules with supervisory staff.
* Assist in the movement of rail cars and support team members during critical operations.
* Conduct routine housekeeping and safety inspections in assigned areas.
* Undertake additional maintenance or operational tasks as assigned by management.
* High School Diploma or GED is required.
* Must hold certification as a Qualified Shift Operator.
* Previous experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., skid steer loader, scissor lift, forklift) is beneficial.
* Competency in performing chemical analysis tests for quality control.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
* Physical capability to climb stairs, ladders, and lift within OSHA guidelines.
This role is performed in a manufacturing setting that exposes employees to both indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures. The work requires compliance with rigorous environmental, health, and safety protocols. Employees are expected to actively participate in safety training, report any incidents or near misses immediately, and consistently follow safe work practices.
