Job Title: Winder

Pay: $19.27/hr

Shift: 2nd shift, 2:15pm-10:35pm, M-F

Location: Cortland, OH

Winder Responsibilities:

Final assembly of transformer leads and terminals through 75 KVA,

transformer encapsulating and/or potting, assembly of transformers with

enclosures and auxiliary items. Assignment in all work areas except testing.

All production machines and tools.

• Final assembly of transformers, transformer leads and terminals, terminal
• boards, transformer auxiliary items and enclosures.
• Temporary assignment in any job because of absentee or production
• requirements.
• Set up and operate wood working machines and operate all shop equipment.
• Assist other employees as directed by supervisor.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Perform work in a safe manner, using all safety systems and devices
• available and following all safety rules.

About you:

• Ability to work in any department to cover for absence.
• Ability to use all hand tools in the facility
• Read and Interpret drawings and transformer specifications on their own.
• Understand and implement all safety procedures while flipping units.
• Assemble every type and size of unit up to 75 KVA without Compromise or cause of repair.
• Repair defective units.
• Follows all quality control programs in place to reduce defects
• Capable of assembling high frequency units.
• Understand and implement checklists for customer requests.
• Implement all necessary processes for encapsulated coils.
