The Role

The General Laborer position is responsible for acting as an ambassador for the company in all its interactions with the public, receiving/processing metals, operating equipment as needed, and adhering to all company policies and directives. This is a general labor and physically demanding position.

Responsibilities

· Work at the direction of the Yard Manager.

· Receive and unload customers as directed.

· Assist with processing and cleaning materials as needed.

· Operate a forklift after certification.

· Operate or assist with baling operations.

· Clean and prepare assorted metals for sale.

· Present a hospitable and positive face of the company in all public interactions.

Location & commitments

· 95%+ of time will be spent at C&D SCRAP METALS. Some travel to other job sites may be required on rare occasions.

· Full-time.

Position requirements

· Be able to lift to 75 lbs.

· Strong physical, mental, and manual stamina, including hand-eye coordination.

· Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Monday to Friday

Overtime

Weekends as needed

Expected hours: 38 – 45 per week
