    LOCATIONS:  Based in the Southeastern US, we operate from 15 offices in five states: GA, KY, NC, SC, & TN.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Perform engineering duties in project development, planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures, and facilities, such as roads, railroads, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, power plants, water and sewage systems, and waste disposal units. Includes general civil, site planning, structural, traffic, environmental, and geo-technical engineers, and site development.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  -  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENT(S)

    • Prepare and analyze a variety of survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or         geologic data to plan projects.  

    • Plan and design transportation or hydraulic systems and structures, following construction and government standards, using         design software, and drawing tools.   

    • Compute load and grade requirements, water flow rates, and material stress factors to determine design specifications.   

    • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.   

    • Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site.   

    • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility based on analysis of collected     data.   

    • Prepare or present public reports, such as bid proposals, deeds, environmental impact statements, and property and right-of-    way descriptions.   

    • Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and structural repairs to industrial and     managerial personnel.   

    • Conduct studies of traffic patterns or environmental conditions to identify engineering problems and assess the potential             impact of projects.   

    • Assist with market development and client relations

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Civil Engineering 

    Experience: 5 plus years of experience 

    Computer Skills: Must be able to use current design software.  

    Certifications &  Licenses: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university and successful completion of the PE examination. State Licensure, or ability to obtain reciprocal licensure in one or more of the following States: Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia

    Other Requirements: Minimum of five years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Completion of the "Professional Development Course" 100 series and/or equivalent.
