    Position Overview

    The Information Technology Data Systems Architect/DBA is responsible for designing, creating, and managing large-scale databases and data driven solutions. Reporting directly to the CIO, this role will design data infrastructure, data modeling and management, database management, and ensure data security, compliance, and accessibility.

    To excel in this position, a proven and demonstrated success of database design, warehousing, and administration, preferably within cloud computing environments such as Microsoft Azure, is essential. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is a mandatory prerequisite for this role.

    Job Description:

    Creating roadmaps for developing, testing, and maintaining databases.

    Identifying structural and installation solutions for new databases

    Proficiency in database design (Concept Maps, ER Diagrams, etc.).

    Transforming data throughout its lifecycle (SQL, XML, etc.).

    Monitor database performance, optimize queries, and ensure efficient data retrieval.

    Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data reliability.

    Coordinating with other team members to meet project milestones.

    Safeguard sensitive data (e.g., financial records, customer information)

    Ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and security for authorized users.

    Enhancing software by rectifying errors, adjusting it for new hardware, optimizing performance, or upgrading interfaces.

    Overseeing system testing and validation procedures.

    Managing software programming and documentation development.

    Collaborating with departments or management to provide updates on project status and proposals.

    Job Requirements:

    Deep understanding of database management systems.

    Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and performance tuning

    Eagerness to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

    Demonstrated experience working in Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing environment.

    Required Education

    Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience

    Microsoft Certification in Azure Database Administration preferred.

    Required Experience

    Minimum 5+ years of experience in database architecture

    Minimum 3+ years of experience in a health plan or MSO/IPA healthcare organization

    Professional Competencies

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).

    Proficiency in documenting and communicating data solution designs, maintenance plan, and security features.

    Proven record of accomplishments in work history.
