SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Family Source Center serves as the City’s delivery system for anti-poverty initiatives by providing a continuum of core services designed to assist low-income families in becoming selfsufficient by increasing family income and youth academic achievement. FSC Core Services include Multi Benefit Screenings, Pre-Employment Support, Parenting Classes, Financial Coaching & Asset Building, Computer Education Classes, Housing Assistance, Immigration Assistance, VITA Free Tax Prep assistance, and ITIN application services. Under the direction of the Program Director/CM Supervisor, the VITA Services coordinator is responsible for completing IRS required forms, Completing required IRS training to stay in VITA compliance, facilitating certification for all VITA Volunteers and maintaining records for reporting during the tax season.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Complete all required IRS forms and documents • Completes UA intakes for any VITA or ITIN service • Responsible for ensuring eligibility requirements of VITA & ITIN clients • Responsible for updating services & outcomes in electronic data system (BitFocus) • Stay up to date on resources & IRS updates • Maintain records on a monthly basis for reporting to contractors (KYCC & GSO) • Coordinate VITA Volunteers & facilitate certification process • Plan and prepare schedule for tax season • Be present for all tax dates including Saturdays but not limited to • Assist with Tax preparation services & Quality Reviews • Promote Financial Stability services • Other related duties as assigned by Program Director or Executive Director.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: The VITA Services Coordinator must have a minimum of 2 years' experience with VITA and coordinating services. Knowledge of local community resources both public and private in regards to IRS or tax related needs.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree preferred
SKILLS: Must be bilingual (English/Spanish. Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs, data entry experience, good communication and written skills.

Hourly: $25/hour Part time: 24hours/ week
